Windows 7 Tip – Some Useful Shortcuts

Below will be a list with a  short explanation if any for each shortcut:

alt+tab = Easy way to switch between different programs and applications while browsing or even gaming.

win+left arrow = Snaps the window to the left half of your screen.

win+right arrow = Snaps the window to the right half of your screen.

win+ up arrow = Maximizes the window to fill the screen

win+down arrow = Minimizes the window, and press it twice minimizes it to your taskbar.

ctrl+shift+esc = Easy way to access the Task Manager instead of the typical “Ctrl+Alt+Del”.

Ctrl + tab = (While In Browser) One can switch between the opened tabs. (i.e Firefox)

alt + f4 = Easy way to close out of an application, program, or browser

f5 = Refreshes a page from cache (Even if a page is changed, you won’t see it since the page may load from the cache instead)

ctrl + f5 = Forces to empty the cache and loads the site as a fresh one.

f2 = Easy way to rename documents and files instead of right-clicking and pressing rename.

shift + right-click = Easy way to open the command prompt (Open command window here)
